In preparation for the handover ceremony for the ROCAF Thunder Tiger Aerobatics Team’s transition from the AT-3 to the Brave Eagle Advanced jet trainer the following day, the Air Force Headquarters conducted rehearsal flights and invited nearby civilians to witness its pilots’ incredible flying skills. This not only showcased the country’s accomplishments in its self-reliance defense policies but also raised awareness of its All-out Defense Education.
After nearly four decades of faithful service with the Thunder Tiger Aerobatics Team, the AT-3 trainer jet is now finally being replaced by the Brave Eagle Advanced jet trainer. The Brave Eagle is the sixth aircraft to be adopted by the Thunder Tigers, and is destined to achieve greatness with skilled pilots at its helm — marking a new milestone in the nation’s aviation history.
The rehearsal included air displays, the award of patches commemorating the handover, the presentation of an AT-3 Thunder Tiger flight helmet, and many other activities. During the aerial show, the crowds were treated to an amazing performance of aircraft executing complex maneuvers with precision, winning the hearts of all those present.
The Air Force Headquarters stated that the ROCAF was fully prepared for the handover ceremony the following day, and would conduct it in a dignified manner befitting this historic moment. As the Thunder Tigers pass the torch, their duties and commitment to national defense shall not wane.
