The Air Force Command Headquarters stated yesterday that in response to the recent Brave Eagle advanced trainer jet crash, the Air Force Flight Training Command and AIDC had jointly drafted a special inspection procedure and checklist for the aircraft. After two weeks of intensive operations, during which both aircrew and ground personnel received additional academic and simulation training, the Brave Eagle once again took to the skies yesterday.
To ensure safety, the Air Force Command Headquarters stated that maintenance personnel carry out inspections and testing, while aircrew undergo academic and simulation training. Each process is conducted meticulously and repeatedly reviewed. Safety is not only a commitment to service members, but also to the nation and its people, for it is only by ensuring the safety of our pilots during training and missions that we can provide the people with safe and free skies.
The Air Force Command Headquarters stated that salvage operations are currently underway, and that the true cause of the crash will be revealed once the flight recorder is recovered. In the meantime, the military will continue to implement thorough inspections to ensure the safety of its personnel as well as that of the nation’s skies.
