Joint graduation ceremony of six schools of the army, navy and air force passed down the sacred mission of safeguarding the country and the citizen
(reported by journalist Li, Chung-Hsuan from Military News Agency on June 29th in Taipei) The joint graduation ceremony of six schools of the army, navy and air force (ROCMA, R.O.C Naval Academy, R.O.C. Air Force Academy, National Defense University Fu Hsing Kang College, Management College and Chung Cheng Institute of Technology, National Defense Medical Center and Air Force Institute of Technology) of 2018 was held at the Fu Hsing Kang campus of the National Defense University, and was hosted by President Tsai Ing-wen. 1197 graduates were officially granted Second Lieutenant and Lieutenant Grade and become the new support of national defense force.
Accompanied by the Secretary General of the National Security Council Lee Ta-wei, the Minister of the Ministry of National Defense Yen Te-fa and key military officers of the national army, President Tsai arrived the Fu Hsing Kang campus of the National Defense University at the morning, and reviewed the honor guard of the army, navy and air force first, and then went to the Jhongjheng Hall to held the joint graduation ceremony. During the period, President Tsai grant the grade to graduate representatives, awarded outstanding students and took photos with new military officers and their family.
Six schools of the army, navy and air force uphold the spirit of “we come from the same origin”, and the mission of “harmony, independence, balance and preeminence” is inherited by all graduates to cultivate leaders with both combat virtues and combat skills to build troops and prepare for wars, and then build strong national army to achieve the mission of safeguarding the country and citizens, and go toward a new historical situation.
