
The “Flying High 2025” concert, organized by the Air Force Headquarters and presided over by Gen. Cheng, was held at the National Concert Hall yesterday and offered guests a night of music and wonder. Impressed by their performance, Gen. Cheng presented cash gifts in recognition of their efforts.
The concert featured many military classics as well as popular songs. The first half included “Celebration of Spring”, “Howl’s Moving Castle”, and a concerto for alto saxophone. The second half featured well-known melodies from the Superman movie, Broadway classics, and “Movement of Flight”— a self-composed musical piece. Such moving music exemplifies the Air Force’s versatility and prowess in both martial and cultural matters.
Gen. Cheng noted that the Air Force Band is tasked with performing at important events of military ceremonies. Additionally, the Band is responsible for strengthening civilian relationships through the promotion of culture and the arts. Gen. Cheng expressed his hope that the Band would persist in their pursuit of excellence while upholding an attitude of positivity and honor. Through their stirring performances, Gen. Cheng hopes that they will show the world the Air Force’s unwavering determination in defending the nation’s skies.
