The Air Force Command Headquarters recently organized a special confidentiality awareness campaign in the Tainan and Gangshan districts. Presided over by Political Warfare Director Lt. Gen. Dong, this campaign focused on recent Chinese infiltration attempts, security maintenance, and leak prevention. The campaign sought to raise confidentiality and counterintelligence awareness to strengthen national security by providing in-depth analysis and case studies.
Lt. Gen. Dong highlighted that the military had uncovered multiple Chinese espionage cases over the past few years. During this period, China evolved from stealing confidential information to building espionage networks, shifting its focus from mid- to high-ranking officers to lower-ranking personnel. Therefore, all military personnel should exhibit heightened vigilance by following the Counterintelligence Responsibility System and the 10 Confidentiality Rules. Together, military personnel can share the responsibility for counterintelligence and ensure unit security by reporting potential risks or irregularities, creating a shield that defends the nation.
