ROCAF Chief Gen. Cheng recently visited the ROCAF Band and Honor Guard to wish them happy Lunar New Year just prior to the holidays. He presented them with a cash gift and acknowledged their contribution to many significant ceremonies, which earned them thunderous applause and praise nationwide.
After arriving at the unit, Gen. Cheng personally engaged with service members and expressed concern over their daily needs and leave plans. Gen. Cheng commended them for persisting in their rifle, marching, and band drills rain or shine. In addition, he reminded each honor guard to be proud of their service and to maintain strict discipline, preserving the positive image of the military in the public’s eyes.
Gen. Cheng noted that with the upcoming year-end bonus, unit officers should make an additional effort to raise fraud awareness, thus ensuring the financial security of all its service members. This would enable service members to fully focus on their training, empowering them to seek excellence, pursue innovation, and achieve their mission goals.
