ROCAF Chief Gen. Cheng recently inspected air defense forces in eastern Taiwan to review their combat readiness training and response capabilities. In addition to reminding all personnel to fulfill their duties, Gen. Cheng reiterated the importance of implementing security measures. By raising awareness on maintaining confidentiality, enemy forces will be unable to obtain intelligence on our military exercises, thereby ensuring national security.
After arriving at the base, Gen. Cheng was first briefed on the unit’s operations before heading out to the equipment area to inspect equipment and maintenance operations. Gen. Cheng emphasized the importance of all officers familiarizing themselves with the duties of all personnel and ensuring safety by preventing overly eager or exhausted personnel from performing tasks.
Gen. Cheng remarked that unit commanders should seek to strengthen their leadership skills and be able to understand the needs of all those they lead. Unit commanders must be capable of employing personnel effectively and exercising risk control for all duties to ensure the success of the mission. Faced with constant grey zone incursions, air defense forces must constantly be on high alert and strengthen response measures. By being prepared to respond to anything, the ROC military can establish a formidable air defense to defend the nation.
