In an effort to ensure the success of the “Chiayi Air Force Base Open House 2024,” ROCAF Vice Chief, Lt. Gen. Liu, requested that all responsible units properly plan and prepare each event at a mission briefing he presided over at Zhongyong Base a few days ago. In addition, Lt. Gen. Liu reminded service members to properly hydrate and pay attention to safety to avoid heat casualties. By ensuring the safety and success of the event, the ROCAF can demonstrate to the people of Taiwan its military readiness and capabilities.
First, the responsible unit gave a briefing on the timetable, transportation, security, and contingency plans. This facilitated communication and coordination on the day’s events through discussion. By displaying its military hardware and demonstrating its military prowess, the ROCAF hopes to foster positive interactions between the ROCAF and the public.
Lt. Gen. Liu reminded everyone that safety was the top priority that day, and thus urged every unit to strictly follow procedures when carrying out training and checking equipment. Aerobatics, which can perfectly demonstrate the ROCAF’s pilot proficiency, would only be executed in weather that permitted it. Such efforts are meant to not only provide the public with a greater understanding of the ROCAF, but also garner support and achieve the objectives of all-out defense.
