With the aim of establishing an excellent workplace environment for all service members, Lt. Gen. Tsao recently presided over the 39th meeting of the Gender Equality Work Committee. During the meeting, Lt. Gen. Tsao met with Committee members, work groups, and representatives of the Gender Equality Complaint Review Board. In addition, external expert Prof. Yen Hsiang-luan was also invited to provide her insights.
The Workplace Environment Group began the meeting by giving a presentation on its plans and progress in implementing gender equality in the workplace. By refurbishing installations, the Group hopes to instill the values of gender equality while also maximizing resource efficiency. Other groups followed the presentation by reporting on their progress in their respective domains. Thanks to the implementation of gender equality, the workplace has become friendlier and kinder.
Lt. Gen. Tsao stressed that gender equality plays an important role in team leadership, and urged everyone to eliminate prejudice and instill gender equality values. By establishing proper values, regulations, and protection mechanisms, we can ensure that all service members can focus on their military duties without worry of harm.
