2024/02/08

February 8 marked the start of the Lunar New Year holiday. To look after the troops and their families, C-130 transport aircraft were dispatched on February 7 by Air Force Command Headquarters to carry out 3 sorties at Songshan AB Command and the 6th Wing. A total of 180 military personnel and their dependents were safely transported to offshore islands and Taiwan proper for the holidays.

February 7 was the last working day before the Lunar New Year long holiday. To help military personnel and their families return home for the holidays, the 10th Transport Squadron of the ROCAF 6th Wing was mobilized to carry out 3 transport sorties. The flights helped transport military personnel and their dependents between Magong, Hualien, Taitung, Kaohsiung and Pingtung in a demonstration of how the Armed Forces look after their people and support civil affairs.

Maintenance crews worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and comfortable flight home for the passengers. Military personnel and civilians collected their boarding passes under the direction of the local military discipline and ethics section. Their luggage was also inspected. Once everything was found to be in order, they were transported by shuttle bus to the tarmac. There they boarded the waiting transport aircraft to fly home and spend the holidays with their families.
