In order to enhance combat readiness and response capabilities, ROCAF Chief General Liu Jen-Yuan, accompanied by responsible senior officers, visited the air defense units in the southern region on the 18th. In addition to listening to mission briefings and understanding recent key missions, he also took note of the welfare of officers and soldiers on duty and in their daily life, and presented additional meal subsidies to encourage officers and soldiers to stand firm in their posts and work hard in combat training.
In the face of increased threats and intrusions from the PLA Air Force, Gen. Liu stressed that the air defense forces are tasked with guarding airspace security and that cadres at all levels should maintain a high level of alertness, closely monitor enemy dynamics in the surrounding air and sea domains, and familiarize themselves with the various engagement procedures to ensure that they can perform combat training such as rapid response return fire in a safe environment, so as to achieve the goal of "Combat and Training as One" and build a solid and formidable air defense force.
Finally, Gen. Liu encouraged the senior officers to revitalize their leadership and communication skills, take care of the officers and men, build a diversified recreational environment, maintain strict military discipline, and make good use of the establishment to keep track of the abnormal behavior of the officers and men to maintain the safety of the troops.
