Flag Presentation for Remembrance at the Air Force Cemetery

Air Force Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Chang traveled to the Air Force Cemetery at Bitan to present a flag at each of the graves on behalf of the Air Force CinC Hou-Chi Hsiung. The gesture represented the remembrance of all officers and men.

Deputy CinC Chang said that our peaceful, prosperous society as well as precious democratic freedoms were made possible by the martyrs who defended the nation’s air space with their youth and very lives all those years ago; the martyr’s selfless and fearless demonstration of patriotism sets an example to all airmen today. The flag presentation recognized the martyrs for their sacrifice, and a commemoration of their heroic deeds; he hoped that all officers and men will follow the example of their predecessors through honor and loyalty. Military honor is earned through by putting the defense of the nation and its people first.
