On March 2, Air Force Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Huang hosted a change-of-command ceremony for Maj. General Tung, the incoming Deputy Chief of Staff, and Colonel Wang, the incoming Director of Auditing Section. The ceremony was attended by the heads and representatives of various Air Force Headquarters units. Lt. Gen. Huang also encouraged the new commanding officers to put their talents to good use by inspiring their subordinates through “diligent and rigorous” leadership.
At the start of the ceremony, Lt. Gen. Huang commended the two new commanding officers on their extensive professional and academic experience and commitment to the mission. In their previous postings, they successfully accomplished all of their assignments in a proactive manner that won the praise of their superiors. They are therefore well qualified for their new posting.
Finally, Lt. Gen. Huang encouraged all commanding and staff officers to uphold the “pursuit of excellence” in the important missions that will soon follow. They must embrace new challenges in a “diligent, responsible, and practical” manner to ensure that all of the Air Force’s combat readiness training missions, budgeting and auditing operations are carried out successfully. They must strive to ensure the readiness of the Air Force and demonstrate the effectiveness of its training.
