On March 8, Chief of Air Force General Hsiung Hou-chi inspected the state of refresher training at Ching-Chuan-Kang AFB in Taichung accompanied by Inspector-General Major General Liu and others. Gen. Hsiung checked the Air Force security company’s new refresher training program's preparations and encouraged the instructors to ensure that all training courses and living arrangements are aligned with official policy at every level. Effective training on their part will ensure the combat readiness of reservists.
Upon his arrival, Gen. Hsiung inspected all key areas such as epidemic prevention, check-in process, information security controls, living environment, training courses and weaponry management in turn. He also reminded the cadres on the importance of “risk management.” They must not only adhere to all safety protocols and operating procedures during the refresher training program but also enhance their ability to respond to and deal with unexpected situations.
Finally, Gen. Hsiung emphasized the importance of the reserve security company in anti-airborne defense. Fast reactions and accurate shooting skills are essential if they are to respond to reported enemy threats and suppress the enemy through firepower. The new refresher training program aims to restore the combat readiness of reservists, enhance the defensive capabilities of reserve units, and highlight how the military and the civilian population are united in their resolve and determination to defend the nation.
