Formerly the Air Forces Logistics Command, the Air Force Maintenance and Support Command was the result of the launch of the streamlining and refinement program that a downsizing of the force will be necessary for such purpose. In Phase 2 of the “Refinement Program,” the Ministry of National Defense ordered for the establishment of the Maintenance and Logistics Command under MND Order Guo-Lue-Jun-Bian-Zi No. 0970000125 dated February 1, 2008 with the dissolution of its predecessor to achieve the goal of “streamlining and refinement of the logistics system.”
